Verify SEO fixes with before-and-after crawls

Treat uninspected pages and new regressions separately from resolved findings. A before-and-after crawl shows what changed, but only a re-check of the same URLs under the same conditions proves the fix. Keep the old report, change one batch at a time, and record what moved and what did not.

Website audit, AI evidence, implementation and verification workflow
From website evidence to your next clear step.

Record a baseline

Save the audit before changing the website. Keep the domain, crawl limit and method consistent. Export the affected URLs and evidence so that you can explain why each change was made.

Apply small, reviewable changes

Use the implementation prompt in the website repository. Ask your coding assistant to inspect the current implementation before editing it and to preserve existing language and design. Test changes to navigation, metadata and shared templates because those can affect many pages at once.

Inspect the comparison

After deployment, re-crawl. Resolved findings are issues absent on pages that were rechecked. Remaining findings need another review. New findings can be regressions or newly discovered pages. A previous issue on an unavailable page belongs in Not rechecked. Search traffic and conversions need their own longer-term measurement; a cleaner crawl does not establish a traffic increase.

See the measurement methodology for product-specific coverage and limitations.
