8 conflict cases: when two good rules collide
Good SEO advice often contradicts itself: answer early but give complete context, keep pages short but comprehensive, stay fresh but keep URLs stable. The framework does not leave these to taste. Each case below has one stated resolution that a reviewer or an agent applies the same way every time.
Case 1 Answer early vs complete context
Resolution. Give the main answer early, but keep any caveat, risk or condition that prevents a wrong decision inside the same answer block or immediately next to it. Brevity never beats accuracy.
Case 2 Short page vs comprehensive page
Resolution. There is no fixed word count. If the user's task is done in 180 words, stop there; if it needs 1,500 words and a calculator, provide them. The measure is task completion plus information gain.
Case 3 AI content allowed vs scaled content abuse
Resolution. The production tool is neutral. AI can be used as long as the quality, originality, accuracy and purpose standard is kept; low-value scale produced to manipulate ranking is forbidden.
Case 4 Freshness vs URL stability
Resolution. When a fact changes, update the content and metadata. Do not change the URL, dateModified or lastmod just to look fresh.
Case 5 Conversion vs people-first
Resolution. A call to action can be strong, but it cannot hide the main utility the user came for. A calculator must calculate; a comparison must show the comparison.
Case 6 Cross-platform coverage vs duplicate spam
Resolution. The same fact source of truth can be reused, but each platform gets a format-native derivative that carries real user value. Pasting the same text into hundreds of places is not a strategy.
Case 7 Brand mention vs astroturfing
Resolution. Mentions are earned, not manufactured. Fake Reddit accounts, fake reviews, controlled blog networks and bot engagement are forbidden.
Case 8 Platform-specific optimisation vs site-wide truth
Resolution. Formatting can differ by platform; facts cannot.
